The MAVIN Foundation is a mixed race advocacy group based in Seattle, with a national voice in the Multi-Racial movement. The organization decided to host an inauguration party at the Wing Luke Museum. Straight or gay if you are heading out for a drink on a Saturday night the last thing you should have to fear for is your life. But that changed when 11 letter's were sent to popular gay bars in Seattle's Capitol Hill District. One letter was also sent to the Seattle's alternative weekly paper the Stranger, saying the paper should "be prepared to announce the deaths of approximately 55 individuals all of whom were patrons of the following establishments on a Saturday in January." Capitol Hill is one of the most liberal areas of Seattle. Which is already a decidedly blue city. Roughly three out of four people in King County voted for Barack Obama for president, and they are all elated about last months election outcome. But what is that Republican minority going through?
