    Really, Jonathan? The worst imaginable outcome?Of course, I completely agree that a public option is what we ultimately need, and that the plan to mandate insurance without it amounts to more support of a corrupt and inhumane private health insurance system. But the proposals now being debated establish a hell of a lot more oversight over that industry than currently exists, using the same agency that regulates the system that lawmakers themselves buy insurance through.
