    photo by Ballard AvenueLast spring a pair of osprey built a nest on the south tower of the Salmon Bay railroad bridge. They didn't seem to mind the noisy trains and appreciated the salmon run in the Ship Canal below. We watched to see if there would be little bundles of osprey joy in the summer, but no such luck.
